    About the Project

Shift4's SkyTab is an order-and-pay-at-the-table solution designed to remove one of hospitality's biggest friction points: the checkout. We created a cinematic product film that frames SkyTab not as hardware, but as an experience upgrade, the thing that helps a restaurant keep the energy high from the moment guests walk in to the moment they leave.

The spot lives inside a lively restaurant environment, grounded in real moments: customers laughing, food landing, servers moving with purpose. We introduce SkyTab as the "secret weapon," then show how it works in action, ordering, reordering, sending tickets to the kitchen, and letting customers pay directly at the table with chip, swipe, or tap.

The centerpiece of the film is a timed split-screen comparison between the traditional payment process and the SkyTab experience. Side-by-side, the audience feels the difference immediately: faster payment, easier tipping, email receipts that help build a marketing database, and satisfaction prompts that can alert management before a bad experience becomes a bad review. The story ends with a playful superhero beat, turning servers into the heroes of a smoother, more efficient night.

    Why This Exists

Restaurants can control food, service, and atmosphere, but checkout has historically been the part of the experience that breaks the spell. This project exists to show that the final moments of a meal matter, and that removing friction at the table doesn't just save time, it changes how guests feel about the entire visit.

The creative approach was built around clarity and proof. Instead of abstract claims, the film makes the efficiency visible through a simple visual mechanism: split-screen reality. You don't have to "believe" SkyTab is faster, you watch the old process lag behind while the new process finishes cleanly.

At a brand level, the spot positions SkyTab as a practical competitive advantage with real operational upside: fewer steps for staff, quicker table turns, more time spent serving instead of running back and forth, and built-in tools that help restaurants protect their reputation and build customer relationships. It's product storytelling that lands as a feeling: the night flows, and everyone wins.
