    About the Project

Twisted Olive partnered with us to showcase their restaurant through cinematic video storytelling and food photography, built on one simple philosophy: the food itself should do the talking. We created a robust content library of dish-focused films that capture the full sensory experience of Twisted Olive's menu, from preparation to plating to the final close-up that makes you want to take a bite.

The core of the work was a series of more than twenty short videos, housed on a custom Wistia channel, each centered on a signature dish. Every piece follows an elegant, repeatable structure: the chef preparing the meal, the rhythm of technique and texture, and a final "reveal" of the plated dish shot with premium, mouthwatering cinematography. In addition, we produced a longer brand film that expands beyond the dishes to highlight Chef Steve's history and philosophy, positioning Twisted Olive as a serious culinary destination, not just a local restaurant.

Visually, the campaign leaned into dynamic, modern food cinematography. Steadicam "twist" shots, overhead push-ins as plates hit the table, and rotating on-axis moves gave the content energy and a contemporary edge. Lighting was treated with the same care as a narrative set. Natural light was diffused and shaped, negative fill added shadow and depth, and every frame was composed to make the texture, color, and plating feel tactile.

    Why This Exists

Food lives in the senses, but online it has to be sold through sight and sound. This project exists to translate taste into image. The goal was to make viewers feel what they can't physically experience through their screen: heat, crunch, creaminess, smoke, freshness, richness. By focusing on the process and the details, the videos create appetite and trust at the same time, showing both craft and payoff.

A key part of that translation is environment. Because the viewer can't taste the dish, every visual choice has to do extra work. We paid close attention to surfaces and styling, choosing slate for some dishes, clean wood for others, and letting the plate sit in a world that makes the ingredients feel elevated while staying honest. Nothing was over-styled. The food remained the hero, with the camera acting as the guest.

Finally, the campaign was designed as a scalable system. Instead of one generic restaurant spot, we built four distinct menu-focused content arcs: Lunch, Dinner, Small Plates and Cocktails, and Garden to Table. Each campaign creates reasons to return, share, and discover new dishes, while maintaining one consistent promise: Twisted Olive's food looks as good as it tastes, and every dish has a story worth watching.
